I have four of these to power networking from my upstairs office to my bedroom, livingroom and man cave two flights down.

Speeds are 250+, 200+ and 100+ Mbps respectively. The man cave, for what it's worth, is powered on a subpanel. So to still be getting the speeds I am through multiple floors is pretty impressive.

Once you get 'em set up, they are super stable. I think I've only had to power cycle one or two of them in the couple of years that I've had them. No frills. They just work. Having the extra ports is nice as well.

How do I just order the receiving unit (TL-WPA8730)? I suppose you only need one sending unit (TL-PA8010) and then multiple receiving units, no? I searched for TL-WPA8730 and all I get is the kit for both. Do I actually have to but multiple kits since only one kit works with it's components?

Never mind found it on Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/AC750-Range-Extender-Wi-Fi-Adapter/dp/B01A862XZ0/ref=pd_sim_147_1?_encoding=U... [amazon.com]

Though just as expensive as buying the kit at B&H!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone have experience with the AV2000 working with these AV1200? I got the AV2000 awhile back for $77 for a pair on Amazon.

Thanks

Look at wirecutter.com for their recommendation for power line. They usually have a "budget" pick after their recommended pick

How is this not Front Page? This is an awesome deal. I just barely saw this while I was on B&H and happen to see this mode while looking at the 8630 wireless model. At this price with wi-if it's a no brained. These models are going for like $130+ online. I saw this thread from 5 months ago showing a newer model for crazy cheap, however it doesn't have wi-fi capability like this one does, which is what I need. I need a stable Ethernet connection to one of my bedrooms and have it emit wi-fi to the back of my house. This model is a crazy good deal and the brand is solid. The Wirecutter ratings and other sites put TP-Link at the top. This device beats having to spend double or triple the amount to get a mesh network. So happy I found this deal and this solution. I just hope I can get over 50Mbps. The 2x2 MIMO technology should give me a stronger signal than my Netgear 1000 model without MIMO.

Anyone know if these can work with two prong outlets (no ground)? Unfortunately my house is has two-wire cable throughout and not conduit grounded either. There are some 3-prong outlets but I suspect the ground is connected to neutral or not at all.

These need the ground.
