You need to add it to your cart then apply promo code EMCBBCB27 and it will take it down to 159.99. Good deal!

The one 1-star review about the drive not working in a RAID config scares me a bit.

Same here.

The item(s) in your shopping cart does not qualify for the discount with the promo code EMCBBCB27 you've entered. Please check again or contact customer service.

Still have issue with promo code. Signed up for newsletter subscribers. Tried both IE and Chrome on PC. Any other success?

Promo code works for me. Seem like max discount qty is 5; which is fine by me. 4 in raid and 1 to spare.

be warned, these drives may/will constantly make noise making a clicking sound every 2-4 seconds. I just purchased the 8 TB version and after reading new egg reviews that mirror exactly what I'm hearing (and feeling if I put my hand on the drive):

Review 1: "It does make, what I consider, a lot of idle seek noises. It basically seeks every 1-2 seconds that you can hear and feel."

Review 2: "More seek noise and random clicks than the consumer drives I'm used to."

Hi, I fixed the problem now. I ordered two drives. It was due to a slow internet connection. Once I reset my wifi modem, everything worked. It could have been the ping response was slow. This is a good deal. Thanks.

does this drive run faster than say a WD 4tb black due to platter density? if so, would this be a better pick for a media storage and editing drive, relatively?
