Got these last time they were on here for 13.49, they work ok, did a lot of stripping on 12/2 recently and had to assist it on grabbing the wire by pressing down on the jaw, otherwise it would pull the whole wire when it tried to pull the casing off. It worked, but was an annoyance.

For a few bucks less you can get the Neiko branded one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IYT...000OQ21CA. Only difference is the overmould.
Both the Neiko and Irwin are made by KYP in Taiwan.

Agreed. Ended up being more frustrating than it was worth. When it works it works awesomely. The thin clear shielding over standard wiring always hampered functionality.

I literally just bought these... Of course they go in sale. They work well with stranded and in tight spaces. I still prefer standard strippers though I keep both with me.

If I were to guess, I think he meant just the thickness of the body itself.

I have the same trouble. The tool pulls and bunches the thin clear shielding. It can be quite a PITA

Works great most of the time. However, as others have mentioned, it randomly won't grab/strip a wire correctly. Negates the time savings from when it does work.
I don't recommend this.

I've had good luck with them. They seem to to work best when you snap them closed rather than squeeze gently.
