Good deal. I really don't get the "connected" fever that everyone is prone to. People are shelling out double the price ($600-$700) for some useless wifi functionality. I own 5 working robots right now, and can afford more if needed, just don't get why everybody gets the $600-700 robots. At any rate, this is great deal. Will be tricky spending these Newegg gift cards for me as my newest PC is 5 years old and still going strong. I guess I will need to use some creativity to spend these Newegg gift cards (they will expire in 1 year). Was thinking of 3; maybe I will get 2 instead. Never mind. Limit 1 if you need to reap the savings.

Dang, 4th Neato deal this month. Tempting. Are they gearing up to release a new model?

Just returned my $489 d5 to Amazon and I'm probably going to get the d5 through Newegg. I am also checking out the Samsung.
The issues people are reporting on the d5 is scaring me a little. A lot of money for it to only work for a year.....
We have 50/50 hard floors and carpet.
I've gotta make a move before the Newegg deal expires though. I hate pressure!

Whoa. Dude, it looks sick. I have 80e (being repaired now) and was about to get Roomba 980 for BF. Will research more. Seems like this one will kick Connected model's butt

You need have a plan for when your Neato breaks, ie extended warranty, Costco, etc.

Did the warranty company repair it?

I posted into another Neato thread yesterday (the D5 or something from Newegg) about my experience. 1st break - w/n warranty, replaced. 2nd break - used CC coverage, fill refund, Squaretrade covered the cost of repair by Neato crappy very very slow authorized service provider Funai or something, took em like 2.5-3 months. This is my 3rd break - same problem, left wheel stuck issue, quite common according to my research. Called Squaretrade, got claim approved, ST asked me to send the unit directly to them this time, provided FedEx label. Sending tomorrow. ST offered after the 2nd breakage a full refund.

Common problems (for older models, mine is 2015 model) - lidar issue, dust bin sensor issue, left/right wheel stuck issue, motor issue. I really hope this new D7 model has a better build.

Makes me a little worried. I have processed 65+ claims over the years on Roomba's and Neatos. I have never tried using Squaretrade. Walmart usually gives me a gift card and has only repaired once. (They Repaired it better than new, go figure)
I did buy the Costco 960 with the Costco Citi Card and will attempt return when it breaks

Roomba 805 at Costco for $325 when it goes on sale again any week now is a much better deal.

No worries. I have faith that the new models will be better. After all, we are talking about the models made years ago. Now that I know that a newer model is coming, even newer than Roomba 980, I will wait for reviews and as usual start tracking SD deals on D7. In any case, if buying from Newegg or Best Buy, BBB or Kohls, better get Squaretrade as well, cost me only like 30+ bucks for 3 years. If you get it from Walmart, perhaps stick to what you are familiar with.

Is 805 the one that went on sale at Costco for ~$250 same time last year?
