The problem with TN is the current atmosphere about it. Not all TN have bad colors and are washed out and some even have decent viewing angles except from below. But people are saying the current TN being made is cheap quality with lots of defects + they don't last as long as IPS. If it wasn't for that I think people would be buying these instead of waiting for IPS or VA to be cheaper. I think this is not so good price for AMD free sync and TN panel though. Asus rapid replacement is really good though.

IPS panels have far worse problems right now.

I've had this for a while, got it for $450 if I remember. Honestly out of the box it has pretty good colors, after calibration with Display Cal it looks fantastic. It's not IPS but I wouldn't want to deal with the backlight bleed lottery that comes with IPS. TN panels have definitely improved over the years

Uh many people have actually said the Dell is amazing for a TN and produces colors that are slightly below an IPS level.

This monitor has great viewing angles for a TN. I use it with 980ti's in SLI. Great monitor.
