Not sure. The normal 50OFF699 does not work on this.

Why can't you upgrade the CPU? This is just a Desktop computer and it also comes with Z270 Motherboard which support overclocking. So, you can easily upgrade this up to i7-7700K.

Regarding Cashback, certain popular site has 10% Cashback today on Dell Home deals.

Thanks for explaining. I meant within the interface; otherwise, I lose the cost difference with the CPU it comes with. Let me know if I'm missing something but it seems unlike the normal Dell interface where you can just select the +$$$ option for an upgraded CPU.

No, this deal does not provide upgrade option within Dell.

Don't spend that much money for a device with 7th Gen Kaby Lake CPU because your upgrade path will be closed. For 8th Gen Cofee Lake, you need a Z370 chipset motherboard and there are some deals with similar price, having 8th Gen i5 and i7.
Also, this link you have given, comes with a non K CPU, means you cannot overclock to fetch some extra performance.

Great points. Thank you. In short, go with the i5 that is provided, and I can upgrade to the 7700k if need be. Do you think the i5 provided will bottleneck the GPU for games running 1440p utlrawide? Like OW?

No, it will not be a bottleneck for Overwatch and most games with GTX 1070. However, with 1080, there may be some, but nothing to make it unplayable or anything. You will have smooth frame rates.

The High end 7th gen takes way more wattage than a 8th gen also correct?

A few things that bother me about this build:
1) 8gb ram? Worth it to upgrade?
2) No SSD? worth it to upgrade?

How does this compare with the BF Ibuypower deals?

better, get your own parts and build the PC. It will be under 800 with more performance.
