Not a bad price, but nowhere near as slick as the similar laptop from bestbuy at 900 a couple of months ago.

Just depends if you value 4gb of ram and 128gb SSD at 200 bucks, minus the pain of the manual install.

The HDD is also twice the size, if I remember correctly. But yes, that deal was really good.

Yeah you're right about that.

Plus on this one, buyers can get 10% cashback today using cashback sites. Makes this quite slick. Good find.

interesting. AMD finally made it into an intel thunderbolt laptop

battery life must suck without some kind of Optimus feature

Any Laptop having FreeSync or Nvidia G-Sync, does not support switchable Graphics and this is no exception. When you are not gaming, it can be like 4 hours due to the huge battery here.

How much better is a comparably equipped ZBook G4? The ZBook is twice the price but what justifies that increased price?

Zbook series is a business class and Workstation series and will always cost more than a similarly configured Consumer laptop. They come with premium 3 years of warranty, higher build quality, very high quality professionally calibrated color accurate display, a lots of other business centric features like extra security chips etc.
Same for Dell Precision series workstation laptopns and a normal Dell Inspiron gaming laptop or a Lenovo ideapad and a P series Workstation.

This was a good deal and I'm surprised didn't get more attention. Price is now $1,199 until 11/27 unfortunately.

Thanks for heads-up though, Suryasis. I was struggling with this one last night. Very tempting.
