Georgia Power is having their Black Friday sale on several products for valid current Georgia Power customers. Deal runs through Black Friday (I think). Tax is due at check out. Just purchased mine for $114 after tax (have to pay tax on full amount)

*Georgia Power customers with central A/C receive an instant 50% off rebate (up to $100) on the Nest Thermostat.

Retail price is $249 - $50 Sale Price - $100 Instant Rebate = $99

See various models on homepage of georgiapowermarketplace.com

Colors available include Black, Stainless Steel, Copper, and White

Any idea if I could buy these as a GA Power customer and give them as a gift outside of GA Power area?

You definitely could. The device just needs to ship to a GA Power customer address. Beyond that, there's no special restrictions.
