What? You have 100 FP phones, but you only have 1 CC?

If you incurred a $0.01 charge, and have questions about your bill, please refer to our Service Plans Terms agreement: https://www.freedompop.com/servic..._terms.htm. Make sure to scroll down, and review the "Active and Suspended Broadband and Phone Service" section for detailed information about this charge.

This is what they told me. Needless to say, I closed my account.

"As a consumer, we want to ensure that service is always available. Therefore, we perform a maintenance verification during the course of your service when usage is not detected. The maintenance verification charge of $0.01 is applied to ensure that you have the capability to utilize our services by verifying the payment method on file. Please be advised that this will not affect your current monthly plan."

I only use FP devices if you are in a pinch. I don't even bother pay the 5 topup disable fee. Just have the device to disable at around 300gb.

What do you mean? I don't use freedompop as my daily driver because it is just unreliable.

I meant to ask the 300GB - how do u disable at 300gb - how this helps avoid $5 topup?

with android phones, go to setting ,data,
set up data limit and it can turn off data at the amount your set up.
even though freedompop gives 500-750mb for free
but some people got charged even at 450mb or 550mb usage before reached the limit.
so set up data limit on your phones would avoid the topup charges.

I should've said 300mb. On the android device, you can disable data after a certain amount of usage and set the calendar date of when it starts. Like I said, the amount of usage is minimal.

Another stupid tactic by Freedompop that if you decide to pay the $5 to avoid topup, is that if you exceed the data usage, FP will disable data on your phone until you go to the website and enable it again. It happened when my son gobbled up the data when using the tablet on the road.
