I don't think this is a SD, you need warranty for this kind of Gear in case something goes wrong, it's very sensitive electronics, and this lens oh man very very sensitive.

Easy returns tho. Youll have time to evaluate. Worth it for hundreds off. Ive yet to need a warranty in the 1 year warranty period of any brand new product. Its like buying / paying more for insurance you likely/almost never need, i rather take my chances on items under $500-$1K

Drops aren't covered and thats typically the issue. Most quality items don't just break from sitting there. How many warranties have you had to use in that 1 year warranty period? Out of 100's or maybe 1000's of items in the last decade I prob used 3-5 warranties. And usually those were way more expensive and complex items than a $400 - $600 camera.

Comes to $391.55 after tax in MA. I got the new bundle from Focus Camera for $498 shipped no tax, wonder if I should return?

Just used sony warranty February 2017 to fix my a5100 the wheel button stopped working just by setting there, also my lens kept saying unrecognized by the camera, warranty very important on the electronics, and very essential in first year of ownership.

I am in the same situation. I think the new camera (and warranty) is probably worth about $50 to me, so that makes the printer, SD card, etc. about $50. I think I'm going to stick with the Focus camera deal.

But there is no warranty on used items vs new warranty 1 year from manufacturer and additional 1 year from your credit card if you used discover or chase freedom.

That's smart thinking.

Plus some of the reviews might be dishonest. Ran the product on ReviewMeta and it came up with a 'WARN': https://reviewmeta.com/amazon/B00I8BICB2

You have it all wrong. The first year is crucial, that's usually when electronics fail. If it gets pass the 1 year mark, you usually don't have any problems.

There's no doubt this is a solid camera. Not sure how that review site is actually calculating it's data. If you want true reviews, checks the various dedicated camera sites.

This is good deal even it is not new. I bought mine from Craig list for $450 six months ago. I know some people are worried about warranty, but I usually bought second hand camera and lens to save money. I would get this without problem
