This Black Friday Deal is back:

MM340 for $199 - $30 off
MM540 for $299 - $100 off

I've been checking their site regularly and the deal started today 11/22/2017.
I believe this deal will run until middle of next week (either 11/29 or 11/30), but I may be wrong.

I just ordered the 540 as well. I've been waiting several months for this deal!

How is this compare to the monoprice one? This seems to have more bells and whistles?

The monoprice version apparently only supports up to 63" TV's where these are 65".

The Mantle Mount MM540 actually supports 40" - 80" TV as long as the weight capacity is between 20 to 90 lbs...

For the Monoprice version you need to look at the weight and dimensions of your TV to check if it will work. There's too much difference in weight and bezels to give a blanket screen size if you think you are on the edge. It's mostly down to weight to make sure the mechanism will work.

where are you getting a 80" that works less than 90lbs...... How could they support a large screen when it cant go over 90 pounds?

The monoprice (the one with the gas spring) sucks. I have it and just took it down yesterday. Lifetime warranty tho so I'll get something else.

True, I ended up buying the 65" LG B7 (~42lbs) vs Sony XBR65X930E (84lbs) knowing I'd probably get this mount. I didn't realize the XBR was so heavy until I was at BB ready to buy.

If you are thinking of installing this above fireplace, and you don't use your fireplace. I suggest that you just get a full motion TV mount. I bought and installed one for about $35 (rated up to 70"). I installed it a few inches above the fireplace and my TV would overlap the fireplace just like you see in the Mantel mount. The TV can be turned too but not as easy. (I also got rid of the mantel shelf so I have more room.)
