Maybe 1060 6gb might be considered warm. You can get a Dell 7000 i5 and 1060 gtx 6gb for $850. Just add another 8 gbram to that Dell and it will be a better gaming laptop than this.

I like how some people just have to say something as fact without any links to back up their statement. The Dell you seem to be thinking of is $1199.99, a $100 more and it has a 1 TB drive and 128GB PCIe SSD which is half the size of the Y520. Here's the link http://www.dell.com/en-us/shop/de...dncwfs618h

By all means, post the link to the one you mentioned if the Dell link I posted is incorrect.

That's not even close to being the same.

First of all, you need to get a rebate which takes up to three months to receive.

And secondly, the processors aren't even close, the HD on the Lenovo is double the size, the Lenovo has double the RAM. The only thing that's similar is that they are both 15" notebooks.

Actually, the one you mentioned above is closer to the Lenovo Y520 listed at https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/lap...80WY0000US and is selling for $649, no rebates to fill out which take 3 months to fulfill or other gimmicks to waste your time.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but I stumbled onto this looking for a budget gaming laptop for someone else. The Dell i5-7300hq compared to the Lenovo Y520 in the above post has a 6GB GPU which has better performance over the RX560 4GB in the Dell. The Dell also has a 128Gb SSD vs none in the Lenovo.
The Dell has a rebate to deal with, which isn't ideal, but the comparable model is more this Y520 w/ the 1060 and a 1TB HD. It still doesn't come with the SSD and it's $999: https://www3.lenovo.com/us/en/lap...TO1WWENUS0

You can add a 256 GB SSD (which is double the size of the Dell) for $200 taking it to $1199 if you care about SSD speeds.

There's 12% CB available which takes it to $879.12 and $1055.12 respectively.
There's 15% CB available for the Dell which takes it to $764.15, or you can do the Dell rebate and come out at $750.
IMHO, the Dell wins. Please feel free to tear this apart and correct anything you've missed.

EDIT: TCB has 21% until tomorrow for Dell, so hands down the Dell is the better deal.
