Not bad, and only 4.52 lbs. I know everyone will crap on the resolution though.

I compared it with Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM on Amazon currently being sold for $315 and everything about this laptop except resolution is good.

If you have never used a touchscreen laptop, you won't miss it. If you have used one and have actual need, then definitely.

Touchscreen is good for:
- writing different languages (easier to write than to type sometimes)
- drawing/sketching (if you do not have WACOM)
- presentation purpose

If you have to choose between 1080p vs touchscreen, priority goes to 1080p. Once you use it, you won't be able to go back to low resolution laptops.

thanks. I am buying it for a family friend ~70 years old so I know she will enjoy the laptop that I bought. The budget was 240-280 and i got that laptop for 280 shipped.

Good write up on pros & cons. She definitely does not use a laptop for those purposes just FB, transferring pictures from her camera and web browsing. Trying to convince her to buy a touchscreen for $50 more because that can not be upgraded. Maybe she does not need it.

agree about resolution.
I would take the 1080p over a SSD pre installed or touchscreen as I value 1080p on a laptop since i am using a computer a lot. SSD, Ram and screen resolution are the most important as i do nothing extensive. Actually never had a touchscreen.

thank you
