Should add this monitor has speakers. Seems like only the ASUS 23" IPS panels have speakers on these BF sales... can't seem to find anything larger then 23" with speakers + IPS.

I was going to order this last night, but after reading reviews, decided to pass on it. It's not really a frame-less design and the stock pictures are very misleading with the display area of this monitor. Apparently there is a hidden bezel behind the front such that the display area does not extend all the way to the edge of the outer frame, leaving a larger bezel than what it would appear to be when the monitor is off. I wish there were pictures that illustrate this, but I couldn't find any.

I was trying to find a sub-$100 IPS screen, preferably 1080p... and was surprised to see this deal! Is budster's qualms+argument strong enough that I should pass on this, or will I never see this kind of deal again?
I don't care much about speakers. I don't expect monitor speakers to be that good.

Its probably already expired but earlier in the day there was a Staples deal for a Dell 27" 1080p IPS with FreeSync adaptive sync for just $76 + tax. I managed to grab one of those. That said, $90 for a 23" IPS isn't bad just not quite as killer of a deal.

Edit: Its sold out for delivery but might be available In-Store depending on you location. Fun fact, a pop up showed that staples sold 11,000 of them so far.

Good. Speakers in monitors need to die. They always sound terrible, raise the price, and make it larger.

Oh wow... That is an awesome deal! Unfortunately it's not available anywhere near me.
Should I get this current deal or should I hold out for a better deal?

I bit on this one. It has the things I need in terms on inputs, pixel pitch and vesa capability. I have been looking for a while.

A little annoyed at the frameless issue and the speaker at the bottom protruding ever so slightly but at this price, I can live.

I have 2 of these that each sit on both sides of my 27" 1440p for a triple monitor setup. While I understand the disappointment that they are not true frameless, the borders are still pretty narrow at 10cm (top and sides). Like another poster said, this monitor checks a lot boxes like IPS, inputs, and vesa. I'm glad it has speakers, even if I don't use them, I like the option. I have a couple different Asus monitors with speakers and I think they are fairly respectible for built-ins. Something they don't really advertise, and I don't use anyway since it's not my gaming monitor, is that they have GamePlus mode that can give you an advantage in certain games like FPS or anything that uses the center of the screen for the aiming reticle. It superimposes its own aiming reticle that's always on so you don't have to shoulder your weapon to get the crosshairs.

I bought on 11/23 but the rebate form doesn't allow me to put anything earlier than 11/24. Will use 11/24 and manually change it to 11/23 and see what happens.
