Thanks. A new D7200 purchased with a credit card can get one more year of warranty for free. To me, that's a better deal compared to the refurbished ones at $650 earlier this week.

I'm looking to just buy the D7200 body. How good is that ~$800 price point? Do you guys suspect it to get any less on actual Black Friday or Cyber Monday? What about waiting for a refurbished instead? I'm really tempted by just getting that new one for that price though...

Is it worth it adding the square trade warranty - 4 years for $68 on these cameras? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like it has accidental damage protection:
  • Coverage for drops, spills and product malfunctions
  • No deductibles or hidden fees
  • Free ground shipping on all repairs
  • Fully transferable with gifts. Cancel anytime, full refund in the first 30 days
  • If you purchase this service plan and eligible product for this service plan, you acknowledge that Amazon may send the service plan seller relevant product and price information for the purpose of administering the plan

It is on the right hand side when ordering through Amazon. Sorry should have specified which site I was seeing the warranty. I have uploaded the screenshot for reference.

It's an ok price to me. Its price is buoyed by the fact that the D7500 was a disappointment (a downgrade in key areas). Buydig had refurbs for $650 this week, but this is the lowest new price. It's supposed to end Saturday night and there's no indication whether Nikon will extend the sale, but they probably won't lower it.

Which lens system to go for? Or should I go body only and 35mm 1.8 prime lens? Grey market has for 679$ brand new with 1 year limited warranty.

I went for the 18-140mm lens. I have experience with juggling between two lenses before and its a pain in the ass to keep switching between them. 18-140mm would give a decent zoom variation which is why I went with it.
