CNET Review [cnet.com]

TL;DR: Great battery, so-so screen, one of the best of the bargain tablets.

Manufacturers need to ditch sub 1080p minimum resolution. There's a whole group of buyers that the screen resolution is first thing they look for. Is the manufacturing cost really more than an extra 10 bucks or so????

Totally agree. 720p is really terrible for 10+ inch tablets....Maybe barely acceptable for 5-7 inch tablets.... The specs of this tablet is really bad. Might as well get a LG V930(Snapdragon 801, 1080p, 32GB) from eBay...many eBay deals to make it close to the same price and it has way better specs plus lots of LTE bands. I have one and love it.

BTW APQ 8017 is Snapdragon 425.

Agree completely with this. Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1 is another good option for a 10.1" 1920x1200 tablet, but the LG-V930 has some advantages despite being a year older, the most important of which being 32GB storage vs 16GB. The AT&T LG G Pad X 8.0 (SD 617, 1920x1200, 32GB) is another option if you like the smaller form factor, but if you buy it new you might need to have an active AT&T SIM to update to 7.0 Nougat, although a prepaid SIM with no value on the account works fine.

Agree on the screen res up to a certain point. For this price, give it to a 10 year old, and they wouldn't know the difference between retina-display and this. The lower res means higher battery life as well and we all know how important that is for kids. Lenovo's page seems to deliver the message that this would be great for kids.

No; this is the first price drop. I've been watching it for months, and knew there'd be a BF drop. You're probably thinking of the 8" which was around this price (he 8" has dropped to ~$109, btw).

Dude, WTH do you do with your tablets?!? Confused I've had my A10 for 4-5 years (in fact I'm using it now), as have 3 others I gave the tablet to as gifts at the same time. They've been heavily used/abused; none have broken a screen over all that time.

To each his/her own as to brand. Personally I wouldn't touch Samsung electronics if you gave them to me for free. Every single Samsung electronic product I've ever had has been absolute crap; swore the brand off years ago. The Lenovo isn't top of the line as far as specs, but it's a nice tablet at the $125 price point...especially when you're purchasing 4 at once.nod

Cheers

Have this tablet. Buying two more. Children really love it. Lenovo site doesn't work, but Amazon does. Free one day shipping.

I look for RAM amount as a quality indicator. Once you know how many GB ram, you can guess pretty close all the other specs. A 4GB tablet will likely have at least 1080p.

I opted for the Zenpad 3s 10 tablets for the kids. 2k screen, twice the ram, over twice the storage, and much faster. But even on sale they were $240 each.

It depends on what you use the tablet for. If you mainly need it for browsing web sites, streaming movies, and don't mind not having native integration with Google Services, (that means no Youtube, Gmail, Google Search, and Chrome by default) Amazon Fire HD 10 would be cheaper, better looking, and faster. It is possible to load Google Services manually onto Fire HD 10 but it may not always work...or could stop working in the future.

When you see the screen with warranty, ignore the screen. Go to the cart directly instead. You should see $125.
