So this seems a little complicated with the device payment plan required. Noticed today that they have 50% off various android phones. I am thinking a pixel 2 for ~325 isnt a bad deal.

Yeah the wording in their descriptions is confusing.

Seems worst than the Best Buy deal which I purchased earlier...Promo credits and forced to get unlimited data seems like not as a good of a deal...

Having only a Device Payment Plan means if a super good deal is available for say, trade in phone for free upgrade (which I'd go for if I could move to a Note 8), you can pay off the DPP and trade in the previous phone...

Verizon can shove their 'unlimited plan' up Ajit Pai's rear end.

If you are already on the $29 unlimited plan like I am, it's a pretty good deal. It's not a good as the BB deal for $350 off that I guess ended yesterday (and is now only $300 off for BF, which is ridiculous), since that didn't lock you in for 24 mos and require the newer unlimited plan, but it's still a good deal, and it's the best deal out there if you want the Google Pixel.

They are the only carrier left that actually charges you a fee to be able to pay them a fee for service. LOL!
The way their CS reps described it to me was that the $25 line access fee was actually for unlimited voice and texting, and the extra $35 was just for data.
So can I just pay the $25 and skip the data? No your device MUST pay for both.
So can I just pay for data then? No, your device MUST pay for both.
It's a scam. Then on top of it they charge you random mystery fees and never explain why, something to the neighborhood of 15% - 25% extra a month.
And you are all right about V and S dying soon.
Everyone is using legal to 'not compete' and force entry level prices that are so high that it makes me laugh. And the only people being allowed to do it is under the direct control of the FCC.
