You press the button just below the wheel to change modes. This is the default action for the button in their software that can be reprogrammed. clicking the wheel will just act as the middle button by default.

I am using it right now. Smilie

I have Graphite 2s and Ive already assigned the button below wheel to "paste" Big Grin, may be its slightly different. Ended up going to logitech options s/w and disable smart shift and then change fixed scroll wheel mode to FreeSpin. I am set now, thanks for your help.

The shape of these are weird. Too slanted to the right so its not comfy if you do a lot of right-clicking. Replaced it with a G502. pm if you wanna buy it

I do lot of all clicking, didn't feel uncomfortable.
This is the only mouse that worked on glass top table without mouse pad
