Lowest price I've ever seen for new. The refurbished one with the Wildside+ jar is the same price right now.

i have this blender from a prior deal, and a much less expensive blender. the smoothies taste identical to me. this is a great blender, dont get me wrong...but this is one of those items that is overhyped because it is so expensive that people talk themselves into thinking they need just because it is so expensive it must be so great over a less expensive blender. it is very loud. i end up using my less expensive blender simply because it is much quieter and the final product is similar. there are a lot of fanboys out there so be careful with the hype, if nothing is wrong with your current blender then no need to waste the money...if you find that your burn out all your blenders then you may need to spend the extra money for something with a boat engine in it like this.

not a bad price for the model...but search slickdeals for blendtec (even this exact model) and you will see blendtecs below $200 plenty of times in the past..no need to impulsively buy

Blendtech and Vitamix are industry standard. You can go cheaper with a ninja but it won't last you as long. And for those with a sub $100 blender do yours is favor and get one of these. Thank me later.

Third. If you are blending protein and milk it might be the same result but when you start adding spinach and kale, celery, cucumber, carrots, frozen fruits and veggies you start to taste the difference. Cheap blenders leave chunks...

Try to make some homemade almond butter or peanut butter in one of those cheap blenders, let me know how it works out for you.

Wow, fire deal. Wish I could slap this much for a blender--don't use it enough to justify this cost...

but this is getting into "justified" territory for an industrial-proven product!

I think I've seen them as cheap as $225 new at Costco, but I paid $225 for my refurbished one a few years ago. Worth it

Good stuff, for those I wondering I did some quick research and found that the 4 sided jar performs better for dry goods than the wild side and of course is great for smoothies. The wild side jar (which comes with the refurb for the same price) is better at large smoothie batches. As a hummus making single person the new one with the 4 sided jar was the way to go!

Which model of Vitamix does this compare to?
Also, which jar is better for smoothies and juicing?
