They had similar price cuts through out this year since last BF, nonetheless one of the highly rated and best speakers.

Spec wise - almost any receiver can drive them. Anything with even 50 watt per channel. However to get better/ louder sound levels for Home Theater Experience 80watts recommended. Depending on which one you get they are anywhere form 85~92 dB efficient. (Every 3 dB loudness increase requires doubling the power aka wattage)

Co-centric design, can be standing for laid on the side, especially the bookshelves if you don't want to spend lot more for a dedicated center.
They can go low compared many competitors in price range. ~40hz. For the price, their sub isn't the best. Get SVS SB12NSD for music (2.1) that's on sale of PB12NSD for movies/HT purposes.

Build is very nice ( expensive look and feel) with different colors of choosing unlike many others ( always black).. and yes I have them in 5.1 albeit small room (12 x 23 x8)

No q200c.. Which was a bummer.. You think q100s +q600c won't be an issue?

Check avsforums.com - people are using the q300s as center speakers

Based on my reading the drivers in q300 and 600 are same, so it makes most sense to go with q300 and 600 however timber matching won't be a problem between 100 and 600, with that thought I purchased a 600 as center channel, don't know if it's a good buy or not, already have 2 pairs of q100

Is the Q600c gone? Q100 is reduced again to BF price so I was thinking of going with Q100 vs. the Klipsch R15-M I got from Best Buy at BF. But would want a matching center.

Get 2 pairs and use one of them as center. Sell the other, you can always find someone looking for it on Avs forums. I am certainly using Q100 for my center. Im happy with it. Would q200 be better? Yes but is it $250 worthy upgrade to my Q100 as center, certainly not!
