I wouldn't consider this particularly slick since it's still above MSRP and is subject to Tax in most states. That being said, it is a price compare baseline to other retailers [pcpartpicker.com] which may not have tax.

I'm checking in with B&H (no tax in CA) right now to see if they will price match.

Update: B&H refuses to price match below their current price. So i'll just do a price with my credit card when the price dips at another retailer.

I wouldnt. Low number of VRMs, poor heatsink on the board if there's one at all and less OC potential. Don't cheap out on the board.

I wouldn't recommend that at all. The entire point of spending on an 8700k is to overclock it. And for that, you want to buy a board with good VRMs and overclocking capabilities. A $99 board is not going to be great on that front.

It was a normally 160 something mobo and it will OC just fine. Unless you don't plan on any case fans. Two 120mm in the front one in the back, get that airflow going.

Awesome, while I doubt they will because most don't do price match for blackfriday, one can only hope...

Back at 399.99....

But seems MicroCenter seemed to have stocked up at 379.99. Would be best to bundle with a MB, however doesn't seem that promotion applies to this CPU anymore =\
