Same price at Newegg where you can use the GC purchased with 10% bonus value from LivingSocial or Groupon where you can get extra cash back. It also has no tax for most states. The final cost would be 15-20% cheaper than this.

Sad about current SSD prices, got the Crucial 750 GB SSD for under $100 during 2016 BF.

You will have to reload the OS as a fresh install unless you do a clone of your current drive to the ssd.

If this is your boot drive, then you have it either copy your OS from your old drive, on install an OS onto the drive.

if it is a secondary data storage drive you can plug it in, configure the BIOS (if needed) and use it (it may or may not need to be formatted depending on your situation and OS)

I'm well aware of that. Just sad that SSDs have not come back down. Last year I figured I'd be able to get a 1TB for under $150 this year. And then the shortage on NAND and RAM happened.
