Outstanding deals on Olympus cameras and lenses through Dell using Slickdeals Rebate $349.98

+14 Deal Score
10,900 Views
These prices are the same as others are posting for other merchants PLUS a big rebate not available from other dealers.

This one can be done many different ways, depending on which bodies and lenses you want. The $349.98 price is for the 25mm and 45mm lenses together. Retail prices on these is $400 EACH. Used ebay prices are around $200 EACH.

Olympus has excellent BF prices on a number of their lenses. Dell has these same prices, plus you can use the SD rebate to get additional money off. Plus you might have the Amex $50 off $299 (I did).

Body prices before rebates:
OM-D EM-5 MkII $799.99
OM-D EM-1 MkII $1699.99 (after rebate will be somewhere from $1343 to $1500, cheapest I've ever heard of it selling for, even used)

Lens prices before rebates (partial list):
25mm f/1.8 $199.99
45mm f/1.8 $199.99
12mm-40mm Pro $799.99
14mm-42mm Pancake $149.99

Not available: the 30mm Macro lens for $99.99.

Camera bodies might also be excellent deals post-rebate, but I'm less familiar with current sale prices on those.

SD rebates:
$50 off $299.99 to $549.98
$100 off $549.99 to $799.98
$150 off $799.99 to $999.98
$200 off $999.99

This link will show you what is available. But read carefully what you need to do to qualify for the SD rebate, which includes clicking through from Slickdeals. I do not know if this link accomplishes this.

I personally combined the 45mm drive with a $150 Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB ($10 more than elsewhere, but rebates made it better than elsewhere). I used the e bates site rather than the SD rebate. I was also able to use the Amex offer. Prorated net prices:

Olympus 45mm f/1.8 lens: $141
Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB: $106

Lowest I've ever seen this lens USED anywhere is $150, and it's hard to find used for less than $180.

I haven't personally used an SD rebate yet. My read on the forum discussion is that it's safe--but slow--as long as you follow the correct process--click through from SD, make sure you don't end up on the Dell MPP site (must be Dell Home), and submit the proper forms.

OR use e bates to get about the same amount (sometimes a bit more, sometimes a bit less) simpler, sooner, and with quick confirmation. With my order the e bates route saved another $2.50. But if your total purchase is right around $1000, the SD rebate will be $50 better (20% vs. 15%).

Just noticed 21% CB on a certain site for Dell. Won't beat the 50 off 200 here but better than the other amounts.

Rebate makes these slightly better than the usually prices.

When are the price in effect? Tomorrow?
When I search for the 25mm F1.8, it's still sitting at $299

It'll beat it if you spend over 200.

Prices are in effect right now. I did notice that you'll find different prices using different ways to navigate the Dell site. The link I provided will find the sale prices. Or navigate from the Dell home page nav bar Products => Electronics... => Cameras filter by Olympus

If one rebate site has 21% that will make these deals extremely slick. I guess I left 6% on the table by using the site I'm familiar with.

I messed up the post. The $50 SD rebate requres $299.99. So 21% will always win.

I don't know which lenses you are comparing the prices on. For the 25mm and 45mm the resulting prices are far better than usual.

Yeah, everybody dropped their prices. Adorama is $199.00. These aren't fast movers either. I wonder if this is the new price or if they will go back up.

These are BF prices, they'll go up again after 12/2 IIRC. The difference here is you also get the rebates, which you can't get from Adorama and elsewhere. So the best new price you'll ever find before the rebates PLUS the rebate.
