For those who plan on staying with Verizon for 2 years, this isn't a bad phone. Practically same internal specs as last year's Samsung Galaxy S7 series. Obviously, you can *try to get your activation fee waived by calling Verizon.

*Edit: New customer or add a new line only. Deal ends after Black Friday (11/24/17).

I never understand these deals.

So you pay $240 cash when you get the phone - then Verizon slowly credits you back $240 each billing cycle for the next two years?

or

You walk out the door paying nothing for the phone - and are charged $240 over the next two years' billing cycles?

You walk out with a 0 percent loan, every month they charge you X/24 plus taxes, and they give you a bill credit for the x/24 amount. If you pay it off or cancel or anything, you still owe the rest of the payments and no mpre credit is given

Is this a good phone? I am thinking about adding new lines for my parents and they need new phones.

Nothing is ever free with these mandatory line activation deals :[

If you happen to be signing up with VZ then great you'll get a $240 phone "free"... after 2 years lol.

That being said this phone has nice specs and decent reviews at a very fair price. Might as well just get it alone without a plan (if possible).
