I had one that was similar to this, and one thing that made it pretty much unusable for me was the right shift key. It was so far over to the right, that there was really no possible way to consistently type comfortably and how I'm used to.

Sounds nit-picky, and may not be an issue for others — just something to take note of.

That being said, I'm still waiting for Brydge to release their iPad back cover and then I'll likely be pulling the trigger on one of their keyboards. Seems like the most promising option as of now...

(Edit: here's the keyboard I had the problem with. Hard to tell if the key spacing is similar enough to be problematic: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0721T5...gAb56DEVAT)

Looks very similar to the one I posted. Good thing is Amazon has very friendly return policy that it can be returned without hassle

I ordered one of these and received it yesterday. Wanted to give a few observations to those who are wondering if this is worth buying.

Build Quality - Overall the package is built very well. The hinge looks like it is robust (only time will tell) and the materials feel nice. The "case" part that covers the iPad is plastic and does not feel as premium as the keyboard lower. The keyboard section is made of two pieces - it appears to be aluminum on the bottom half (that you would rest on the desk/etc.) and then a plastic top half that is exposed when you type. For what I paid - I am impressed.

Keyboard - The keyboard is mixed for me. It feels nice to type on but some of the keys are in odd spaces. The right shift button is very tiny and I keep locking my iPad instead of hitting backspace. They did pack a lot onto this small keyboard though so once I get used to it I am sure I will have less issues. The key travel is nice and more tactile than I was expecting. I could see typing long documents on this. The backlight is nothing to get excited about - it works as advertised. The only other "downside" I would bring up is that there is nothing rubber or sticky on the back side of the case to make it not slide around when you are typing. Would be nice but it isn't too noticeable.

Looks - This is subjective but I think it looks better in person than in the pictures on Amazon. The keyboard section does look nicer than the part that "holds" the iPad though. The hole in the back to show the Apple logo is not centered and I think looks a little cheap. I feel that a solid black back would look a little better.

In conclusion - For +/- 40 bucks you cannot go wrong. I purchased a slightly cheaper case (around 30 bucks I think) and it was far inferior in terms of quality and function. I also like the fact that this gives the iPad a more "Laptop" look and feel. I plan to buy another one of these for my GFs iPad.

Agreed with the circle cut out. I wonder why all of the keyboards in this style have the circle cut out.

This keyboard looks awesome but I really need something a little more configurable to where I can detach the tablet for tablet mode. Or if it was super easy to remove and re-install the tablet.
