Bose were slightly more comfortable, Sony's sounded better, both have great noise cancellation but to me the Sony's produced some ear pressure (ear suck) with the NC on.

if you don't need wireless, is the bose 25 a better option?

Check frys! I just picked up a pair in store pick up only and grabbed the last one. I used honey that found a promo code for tax free. Got the pair for $228 and just got confirmation from Fry's to pick it up tomorrow. At the price of $228, are these worth it, or is it worth the extra $100 for the Bose QC 35's?

These are not the latest . I read these have issues with the build. WH1000XM2 is the latest model with the fix . I have read few comparisons everyone recommended these over bose QC 35s

unfortunately a lot of people don't have enough cashback to get in on the deal, but yes, $240 for the XM2 is legit.

I tested the Sony 1000xM2, Bose QC 35 ii and the Beats Studio 3's. Ended up purchasing the Bose QC 35 ii. To my they sounded better. I couldn't get the same quality of bass from the Sony's even after flipping through all their sound presets. The beats are on ear which I wasn't a big fan of. The Bose were comfortable over ear, and the Noice cancellation was top notch. I honestly felt the bass was better on the Bose after testing/comparing several songs on all 3 headphones.
