I know it sounds like a great price on batteries, but I would never purchase Insignia brand batteries again. They have the shortest shelf life I've ever encountered. Whether it was for trail cameras, video game controllers, TV remotes, toys, or anything else, the batteries all died at an amazingly fast rate. This was with AA and AAA. Previous SD discussions on these batteries have shown that there are many dissatisfied users.

How do these compare to rayovac? I have gotten them off slickdeals for the past 4-5 years, but i have always thought they died quick(but they were cheap so i didn't care much)

I don't personally recall purchasing Rayovac's anytime in recent memory, so I can't compare them to these. Insignias were by far the worst batteries I've ever bought. Unfortunately, I bought over 100 of these about a year ago. After hearing from my wife and kids about how terrible they were, as well as my own awful experience, I threw the remainder away. If it's not a "stressful" use and you want cheap batteries, consider the Costco Kirkland brand. But even with those, beware. I put 8 AAs in a trail camera and they leaked badly when the temperature got to about 40 degrees.

I bought a 48 pack of rayovac in may of 2016 and only have 13 left in the case now. I just find that outrageous. And i am a dude living alone, pretty much just weight scales and remotes(tv and fire tv)
