Damn good deal, I got one on sale 6 months ago, slapped it into a an old laptop, and the boot time went from 90 seconds to 26. Not full SSD sata speeds, and write speeds still suck, but a good compromise of storage vs price.

so it turns out you need to input an email so it didnt work thru mobile browsing or app.
either do it on a desktop or open it desktop mode on your phone.

Im having problems with the deal. Was it an email deal?

This should work in a PS4 right? Thanks for the help in advance. Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Bad reviews on amazon, most people say it dies in less than a year

Same reason I passed on it. I'm looking for an internal HDD for my desktop, so size don't matter, just efficiency.

for you just get a 7200rpm 3.5 hdd which will be much better than this for a desktop, for me on a gaming laptop i went with a 500gb samsung SSD from frys for $118, it has 5 year warranty and i can still keep copies of most of my games on my external 4tb

Basically this drive should be used for adding massive space to a laptop or ps4. The fact it's running at 5400rpm will make it result in poor performance every time the data you need isn't stored in the small ssd buffer. Desktop users should wait for a sale on the 3.5" 2tb Firecuda because they are running at 7200rpm.

I bought one and put it in my PS4 Pro and it died in less than 30 days. The quality is not great on this line.

Mine died in 5 weeks!! Absolute crap. And now Seagate wants me to pay return shipping to get a recertified drive.

Pass, it's a Seagate. Don't just walk away, need to run away.
