Well I bought one anyway in hopes they update the firmware for live view. If not, meh. I live in a pretty low crime area.

I tried but was shot down. Worked out though because Amazon charges tax where I am and Blink didn't.

These are a really not worth it. The batteries last a week and the damn things pick up EVERY little bit of motion. They have promised to update and have never updated. The founder cares only about lining his pockets.

These shits are basically hockey pucks

I've had mine for over a year. Batteries lasts me on average 6-8months. Depending on how many times you set them off. They're not for high traffic areas for obvious reasons. The only issue i have with them is you can't set individual camera scheduling. Has to be all of them.

For the price and the versatility, and the fact there isn't a monthly subscription for cloud usage for the basic setup it's highly ranked in my book.

I actually have the indoor models outside under an awning (before they had the XT models). My parents have the XT version and from what they've told me have no issues with them battery wise. They of course aren't in high traffic areas.

The indoor ones we have work great. The XT are horrible. Even the glare from the sun sets them off.

In the Blink app when you arm the system, you can then touch the little person icon that appears and turn off particular cameras while leaving others on. Hope that helps.
