technically you're buying from
nothingbutsavings (4 total reviews from about 3 months history)

https://www.rakuten.com/shop/noth...gs/review/

if they are not Samsung authorized it could be warranty trouble.

Samsung will still honor the warranty. Without a receipt, they base warranty off the item manufacture date.

Rakuten should be safe. It is a big japan company with high reputation. You can consider it as Japan version of Sears, so third party also sell on there.

If there's no tax better price than samsung unidays discount. I bought this one from Samsung couple days ago $109+$7tax =$116

But Samsung probably has better return.

Yes it's safe, I'm buying from them for years. Before it was called buy.com then Rakuten bought them and changed it to Buy.com - Rakuten and now it's Rakuten only. Good service and you can earn extra cash towards your next purchase on some items.

Rakuten used to be Buy.com. It's not some crazy hacker site. It's pretty reputable.

Of course, this goes on sale right after I buy the western digital one. I would have much preferred this. Great deal.

I returned my WD WDS256G1X0C because it was barely faster than my 3 year old OCZ SATA SSD. Got the Samsung 960 EVO about a month ago and it's much faster.
