AMD Ryzen 7 1700 processor w/cooler for $240. When I purchased it, there was some mention of game codes, but it's not in the product page description. This is $30 cheaper than the previous price on Amazon, and is the lowest price for this processor that I have found recently.

Love this cpu. This deal beats the $250 deal I got the month after it released.

Ready to jump on this deal. but cant decide on which board to get,
I play BF1 and use the PC all day for work. word, excel, websites, some database and mostly RDP work. I use Slack and Skype for conversations.

Glad I waited until today. Newegg had it for $250 on eBay yesterday and I almost got it. Maybe Newegg or someone else will offer it even lower on Cyber Monday?

At current price point, I'd go with the Gigabyte Gaming K7. Bought one myself.

Even better than the $295 Newegg deal on the Ryzen 1800x from Monday since this includes the Wraith Spire LED Cooler as well.

If there's one nearby then Microcenter has the 1700X for $229.99.

R7 1700 doesn't make sense for everyone but I so want it. I can imagine someone interested in devops could simulate a cluster of 8+ containers all talking to one another ... Can't wait to see what we get next year

While the general rule is stay away from Gigabyte motherboards, this video would choose it over the Asus: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vcqu-9Ejf60

If you're more casual, go Asus. If you want more features, go with the Gigabyte.

Why is that a general rule? I've been running a GB motherboard for years. They have dual bios and their warranty works. Asus warranty is POS.
