I bought this. My goal is to build an AMD Ryzen 3 computer for $300 or less. I will share my build.

First of all, you can upgrade to the AMD Ryzen 3 1300 for just $13 more. Amazon has a deal on the processor one step up from this one for $99 AMD Ryzen 3 1300X Desktop Processor with Wraith Stealth Cooler (YD130XBBAEBOX) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0741DL...UTF8&psc=1

This shows that there is a marginal improvement for your extra $13 http://cpu.userbenchmark.com/Comp...3930vs3931

Now I am looking for a motherboard, 4gb of DDR4 ram, and a PSU and case. Also a 240gb SSD.

My budget: $50 for ram, $75 for a motherboard, $20 case, $50 SSD,

BUDGET $307.00
processor 87
Ram 45
Motherboard 75
Video Card 0
CPU fan 0
SSD 240-248gb 50
Case 20
PSU 30

That puts me slightly over budget. I'll add a video card later as gaming isn't my thing right now. I expect to maybe score an open box motherboard for less than $75.

Please link me to any PC build thread with similar motives as the one I have described. Perhaps we can help each other put similar builds together for the slickest prices. Cheers!

I am unsure if you are aware, but the ryzen 3, 5, and 7 series do not include integrated graphics. So keep that in mind.

Thanks for the advice. The ASUS motherboard I bought has the video outputs though...?

Now I am on the look out for a bargain PSU, case, and 4 or 8gb ram. I have an old Nvidia Geforce 9800 gtx 1gb video card if necessary.

The ASUS B350 motherboard I bought from Amazon was $60 after rebate. But I had to pay sales tax which sucks. It was that or dealing with a $20 rebate through newegg. I opted to pay the sales tax to deal with smaller rebate.

I scored that $30 PSU from bestbuy a couple days ago. EVGA 80 PLUS 600W ATX 12VEPS 12V Power Supply Black. I might use that for this build.

So far I've spend $87 + $30 + $~$67. That only leaves me $115 for a case, ram, and a SSD. I have extra fans laying around and can plug a scrap monitor into this thing. I'll have to decide if the stock CPU cooler/fan will suffice. I have a feeling I can score an SSD real slick on Monday. Maybe ram too. And a case. I might have to get lower clocked ram as I won't be playing Call of Duty WWII or ghost recon with this thing.

I'll build a top notch gaming system when they come out with the Call of Duty Benghazi edition. The gamer can play the role of Christopher Stevens. The game will start off with the player emailing sHillary Clinton about a lack of security in a nation her and Obama illegally "meddled" and overthrew the government in - emails that will go ignored because she is preoccupied accepting over $125 million in bribes from the Russians she supposedly doesn't trust anymore. Then you and 3 other computer controlled characters can take on a "spontaneous" mob of protestors riled by a youtube video over a year old in a country where less than 2% of the population even has broadband access to view the video in the first place. So yeah, there's plot holes, but Obama's constituency bought it and Candy Crowley and Susan Rice can help double down on the story. Now THAT would be a good Call of Duty video game. Then they can come out with a sequel when the rebels the Obama/sHillary administration armed and financed in Libya defect and form Boko Haram and kidnap and rape Nigerian Christian girls. However, the only "call to duty" was a twitter hashtag campaign.

Instead the Call of Duty series is trying to relive the glory days of WWII when we had real men in charge such as Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Force - Republican Dwight D Eisenhower. Oh well. I guess I'll hold off on that Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 Ti until we get a more "progressive" Call of Duty game.

Correct, the video outputs are there for the updated A-series apus for the am4 platform with the integrated graphics that were released a couple of months ago. Ryzen in its current state, you will need that gpu.

Sounds like a great game idea; pitch it for sure.

My order is still "backordered"

Has anyone found out when they will fulfill the orders? Before Christmas...I hope...

By the way, my build came in at just $300

BUDGET $300.00
processor 87 (AMD Ryzen 1200)
Ram 75 (Ballistic DDR4 8GB off Adorama)
Motherboard 60 (ASUS B350)
Video Card 0
CPU fan 0
SSD 160gb 33 (Used Intel off eBay)
Case 15 (Newegg Rebate deal on Rosewill case)
PSU 30 (EVGA deal on their website free shipping no tax)

CPU fan bundled with Ryzen is adequate. Video card re-used out of old system.
