So is this the same bundle as the recent Staples deal but $200 more?
Wonder if any other store will have as good as as Staples one in Cyber Monday or before Christmas.

Those who purchased said they got confirmation email that it's being delivered on Friday so not sure if they really received or got canceled as a price mistake.

Serious question: is the Surface line really worth the extra 300-400 over other brands with same specs? I've only played with the display models and honestly can't tell the difference.

So what's the current deal of other brands with same i5 or i7 spec that is pretty much a Windows Tablet that has Type Cover?

Something like this:
https://slickdeals.net/f/10916283-lenovo-flex-5-14-2-in-1-laptop-i5-7200u-256gb-ssd-8gb-ddr4-940mx-549-free-shipping?src=SiteSearch

Not exactly a tablet but has a tablet form. Also but touchscreen and discrete graphics (plus), 2-in-1 form covers the type cover requirement.

Again, not trolling, asking for serious opinions/experienced owners who could point out advantages that I'm missing.

Also, I'm assuming that most productivity users would need a keyboard anyway, so I don't really understand the "lightweight tablet without keyboard" form. Maybe there's a legitimate business/school use where keyboard isn't used frequently?

I think you just figure out why people buy Surface Pro, pretty much 2-in-1 form is not the same as tablet with type cover. Lenovo Flex 5 is 4.1 lbs while Surface Pro is only 1.7 lbs (cover is about 0.6 lbs).

So if people really want to carry light and don't need to type a lot, then just bring the tablet part which is only 1.7 lbs. While any 2-in-1 is at least 4+ lbs.

Again, what is the current deals on Windows tablet/detachables laptop (around 2lbs to 3lbs) with similar i5 or i7 spec and type cover that is $300-400 cheaper that this deal?

I didn't figure out why people would need a tablet without the keyboard - I asked in my last post if there was any reason why people would need basically a Windows PC without the keyboard. There are also sub-4 lb 2-in-1's (currently typing on an Inspiron 13 7353 at roughly 3.5 lbs).

I know there aren't really any other Windows tablets. Actually, the Surface is also a 2-in-1 (quick ref: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Surface_Pro_(2017)). So really, I'm asking what this 2-in-1 offers that other 2-in-1 PC's don't offer. I may want to get a Surface in the future, but simply trying to understand why it costs so much more than comparable devices.

So is the premium price really because it's just lighter than other brands?

I'll stop now to avoid taking this thread in the wrong direction. Look forward to reading others' thoughts on what they like about Surfaces and why they choose these over competitors.
