HI Psumarch,

I don't know if there is a particular upgrade path for this model.

I would look at the following thread at ipcamtalk and see what they do to determine the firmware upgrade path for that product and follow that methodology for this camera.

Hi Psumarsh,

Please share what you find with us.

This looks like a great camera at a good price, and certainly a few people here like to keep their cameras firmware updated.

I've got 2 or 3 floating around my house. I may bite the bullet and try upgrading per the comments in the ipcamtalk thread. If it bricks ... eh, it bricks. Tinycam keeps bugging me about them having vulnerabilities, so if it bricks I'd just replace it with the $45.xx annke from amazon. I'd at least have peace of mind that I can get firmware updates. I'm actually in the process of swapping out some older hacked fw/never to be updated versions since they just feel like too big of a vulnerability at this point and prices have dropped from where they used to be $100 a pop.

Thanks for keeping all these threads well informed. It's hard to keep up with all the deals and the vulnerabilities

Hi psumarsh,
Just wondering if you ever did try upgrading the firmware on your LaView cams? I also have a couple of these and in same boat as you regarding older f/w version. Were the ipcamtalk steps successful?

Thanks for any updates!
