Samsung UBD-M8500 4K UHD Blu-ray Player w/$50 Walmart Gift Card + Free Shipping $158.18

The MSRP for Samsung UBD-M8500 is $299, and I've been seeing these priced around $150 lately (without the gift card), so if you shop at Walmart anyway this could be a good deal for you.

No need to buy an Xbox One S just to play 4K Blu-rays if you have a dedicated player like this. : )

I don't know how long this will last since it's hard to tell if it's a hidden Black Friday/Cyber Monday special or just a regular price. Either way have fun.

Unfortunately Walmart associate discount won't work on this bundle because of the gift card... still a decent deal.

Edit: Updated to reflect additional $8.32 price decrease.

What is the difference in performance (loading, playing, up-scaling) between this model and UBD-K8500? I know that the K8500 has 2 HDMI outs compared to only 1 HDMI out on the M8500.

Combine this with the 10% Cashback using Chase Pay at Walmart and you are looking at about $150 for this player and a $50 gift card. Considering a Walmart gift card is close to cash for a lot of people, this is a really good deal since you could think of the player as only costing $100...

I switched to this from a K8500.

UI is a lot faster and smoother.

Shame we don't have affordable 4k Blu Ray recorders. The consortium that is Blu Ray are puppets of the mpaa, so you need a capture card and hdcp stripper to get there and it is not cheap.. regular hd capture solutions are pretty cheap now, but clunky and underdeveloped
