EVGA is having a massive sale on their power supply units. Many of these prices have hit FP before. Combined with no tax / rebates / shipping, this is easily better than those deals as well.

430W EVGA W1 - $16.99
500W EVGA W1 - $19.99
500W EVGA B1 - $24.99 - Better than old 450W deal on FP for $30
600W EVGA B1 - $34.99
650W EVGA GQ - $49.99
650W EVGA G1 - $54.99
650W EVGA G2 - $59.99
700W EVGA B1 - $39.99 - Prior FP deal
750W EVGA N1 - $29.99 - Prior Popular 5+ TU deal
750W EVGA G2 - $69.99
750W EVGA G3 - $69.99 - Prior FP deal
750W EVGA P2 - $99.99
850W EVGA GQ - $79.99
850W EVGA G2 - $89.99 - Prior FP deal
1000W EVGA GQ - $99.99
1000W EVGA G2 - $109.99 - Current FP deal
1000W EVGA G3 - $119.99

In terms of quality (approximately):
-B1 -> G1 -> GQ - > G2 / P2 -> G3 (pretty much same as tier before)
-N1 / W1 are lower-tier and would be better suited for budget builds.
-PSUs beginning with B are Bronze Rated, G are Gold Rated, and P is Platinum Rated (efficiency of PSU)

Indeed! The G3 is currently the highest rated PSU on jonnyguru's PSU reviews at a 9.8/10.

the 1000w G3 is a little loud though. but for the 750w G3 it's fine.

I also got the G2 1000W a few days ago.

If you need the latest and greatest, sure. Otherwise the g2 is perfectly fine.

Do note that the g3 is a little louder from what I have heard.

I bought the 750W EVGA N1 - $29.99

It works for my needs. I don't run the computer 24/7, have the computer enter sleep mode, and I don't overclock or have multiple graphics cards. This should suit my needs as a backup PSU. Reviews were good on Amazon.

[edit] there was no sales tax or shipping fees. Even better!

The 1kw G3 is smaller than the G2, and because of this, evga runs the fan harder. This is why it's noisier. If you have room in your rig for the G2, it's a better deal today on EVGA'S site at $109.

1000W is definitely overkill for 95% of people. I highly suggest the 650W or 750W G2 or G3 for most people with strong gpus.

It's much shorter in length if that's important to you. Since I'm building in a small case I didn't need any more reason than that to spend the extra $10 for one. If it's better in other ways, bonus.
