Bought a 7700K today in store at Frys for $249. Doesn't seem that slick.

Ever since Ryzen came out, Intel and retailers have been reducing their prices. It's a great time to upgrade CPUs....not so much for GPUs lol.

Next year, We will see 260 dollar 8700K

Then buy the 8600k and still have buyers remorse. That's how this game goes.

Coffee lake is out. Prices will continue to go down, that's how the pc part world works. Last gen stuff will reduce in price as time goes on.

they fluctuate all the time. There have been some great deals for CPUs in these past few weeks.

Gotta pair it up with a new motherboard, though

Got a 7700K skew less than a few weeks ago for 270 shipped from staples price matching microcenter. This would be the same price after Cali tax. I suggest waiting waiting if you can

Please remember. These clock to 5 gigz easily... You're wasting a lot of potential not getting a unlocked for the same price

Looks like monoprice on ebay have the 7700K for 30 dollars more. Is the K version worth 30 dollars more? I got the bulldog case that I plan to transplant an i3 from the dell inspiron 3650 deal to update my bios to run a 7th gen cpu. but maybe I'll wait it out and see how much more would it drop.
