Have had this headset for awhile. It's really good and easily worth $70.

Yes they are very sturdy and well built. I bought a few pair of the first version. I bought gun metal and the red of the Cloud II.

The first version paired with the easily burnt out Sound Blaster Recon 3D. OMGawd pure ear orgasm especially watching Transformers movies.

Owned these since the original XboxOne launch. Used them for my computer, as well as Xbox/PS4.

Very sturdy, comfortable and noise canceling, for anyone looking for a Turtle Beach alternative, that doesn't mind the cord this is well worth $70

If I hadn't just bought a new headset, I would be grabbing this. Great price for extremely comfortable, good sounding headphones. I killed the wire on my old set, but I'm notoriously hard on my headsets.

One of the best headsets I've had for my PS4, Xbox One and PC. Very comfortable and the sound is decent.

I have these. They're great for the price. But at this cost why not just get the cloud alpha for a bit more? Aren't they better than this much older model? Am I alone in thinking like this?

Have this headset, it replaced a Corsair Vengeance 2100. By far and away the best headset for gaming I've ever had. The 2100 hurt my ears while playing (Wear glasses), whereas the HyperX doesn't. The sound quality is extraordinary as well. I play Rainbow Six: Siege with this, and I can hear EVERYTHING. Bass output is pretty great for a less expensive headset.

Pros:
For the price, FANTASTIC quality
Comfortable
7.1
Mute/Volume control on the headset cord itself
No proprietary software necessary
Only takes up 1 USB port

Cons:
Wired (Cord roughly 6-8')
Boom mic doesn't adjust in/out very much

Is the Cloud Alpha worth $30 more? I'm looking for a headset to use primarily on Xbox One.

Great headset but the mic went bad after 6-7 months.
Still nice headset tho.

The mic for this headset isn't that great, but I recommend getting the AntLion ModMic that you can attach to this headset - it'll cost you another $40 to $50, but I'd say it's worth it if you play online and chat a lot, and/or want a good quality mic for streams / recording.
