YMMV since it's both Microcenter and a price match on top of a bundle deal.
Microcenter currently has the highly regarded ASRock X370 Taichi on sale for $164.99 after mail in rebate (http://www.microcenter.com/produc...otherboard
). Newegg has the same motherboard for $154.99 after mail in rebate (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6813157757
). Microcenter is also running a bundle deal where if you bundle any Ryzen CPU with a motherboard, you get $30 off (http://www.microcenter.com/search...y=pricelow
). At my local Microcenter (Fairfax, VA), I was able to price match the motherboard price before the bundle discount on a Ryzen 1600X and Taichi bundle. They just took $10 off the total price, making my out the door total $304.98 + tax after MIR.
As always, this is YMMV since it's microcenter and a price match off a pre bundle price, but it's worth a shot if you are building a computer like I was.
Steps to reproduce:
- Order a Ryzen processor and ASRock Taichi motherboard for store pick up (or go to the store if they have it in stock)
- At checkout, ask if they pricematch Newegg (they do) and show them the Taichi motherboard price (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Pr...6813157757)
- Enjoy $10 additional dollars off a really good motherboard and processor bundle
