I've purchased six of these machines over the years, for myself and as gifts. The Krups and DeLonghi versions are almost identical. For almost five years now this is all I use. If you like espresso, this deal can't be beat. Highly recommended!

Is this that much better? I see lots in the $30s that look similar and another bunch of handhelds in the teens.

Could it be argued that this machine is better than the VirtuoLine Evoluo? My problem with the Evoluo is that I never want to buy the pods because they seem to be on their way out and are expensive.

I had the De'Longhi and I have my CitiZ. I imagine that almost all Originline Nespresso machines make similar espresso and given this:
These two machines serve different purposes. I had De'Longhi both at home and at work but now for the work, I use CitiZ given the fact that I could make a cup of nice cappuccino in ~3 min anytime I want to which was impossible with De'Longhi.

If I do not upgrade my Krup at home, I might go for another Nespresso machine. It is faster and less mess, provided you recycle. Even though I am happy with my-cap system, I would only see (original or Starbucks) pods to be the downside as being more costly.

On a different note: For the past few months, I have been tasting some 30 different flavors of original Nespresso capsules and have to say, I only like some 4-5 of them so my-cap and my own coffee do not seem as a poorer choice.
