I saw this earlier this morning. Tempting considering the stapler just came out. But I'm waiting for the 2nd gen impact/drill combo.

Free tool with this kit has been around for a long time, perhaps not this particular tool, but this is barely a deal.

Well than you'll have to wait another year for a deal on them. This is a good deal for current model. I have the M12 Fuel drill/driver very good.

Does this work with me returning the drill/impact kit and getting the stapler at a discounted price? I'm only interested in the stapler gun.

In July (or something like that) home Depot was having tons of sales where you would get a 6Ah battery free with various m12 purchases. So I bought a bunch of stuff, one online, others in store. The ones I bought in store had prorated prices for the items, and I returned a couple of the batteries to get the other item a bit cheaper. The 1 thing I bought online basically had it all bundled up as a package. So the 1 online one couldn't be broken up and returned. I'm guessing this will be the case here, since you are buying 1 thing. If you were able to add the drill and impact combo as 1 item to your cart and then the stapler as another item, then you probably could return part of it.

So anyways, I would buy this in store if you want to return part of it.

Was planning to get the stapler. Added bonus to upgrade my drill and impact. Thank you for posting.

What's the issue with the gen 1 FUEL M12s?

Wish there was a trade up program get rid of my craftsman stuff. Would rather have another battery or something instead of the stapler

There's other deals, or have been recently... The stapler is probably the best deal thus far though.

Because Lowe's suck.....really. Lowe's doesn't even carry DeWalt flexvolt even though they are an official retailer.

No issue, gen1 is a great set. It's a few years old though and the gen 2s are more compact and slightly more powerful.
