This needs to be marked YMMV or something. Normal people with jobs cannot get this deal...

I suspect a sizable amount of SD population have completed an undergraduate degree and probably have an alum. edu e-mail they can use, so YMMV but most likely yes.

Looks good but how does this compare to the 960 nvme? I'm not seeing benchmarks anywhere

It's basically the same speed as a regular 850 EVO SATA just in the M.2 form factor. This is a great drive in general, but especially for older ultrabooks/laptops which do not support NVMe booting (anything older than 6th gen Intel platform).

Worked well. But once you order it, the confirmation email said backordered and about 7-10 days to ship. Which is too late in my case. But otherwise - neat deal.

Login with unidays will give u lower price, add it to cart, then open another tab login to you discover and click thru their deals. It will open another tab opening the samsung website . You will see on the top of that page it still showing that ur Unidays. Just go ahead and pay with your discover.

I have one but it would not let me register. It said I had to be on campus wifi/network to authenticate.

Not all alum .edu email works. For some major university, even if you have their xxx.edu, they still need additional verification (could be using school network or other verification method, etc). And I assume they are going to keep improving their system to catch additional alum .edu for more and more school.

Can this go in desktops also?

Nevermind, just bought a sealed 1TB 850 EVO ssd for $200. Guy said he was doing networking for a lawyer office ama accidental ended up with them. Had to send them a certified letter with his business card to get a response in which they told him to keep them. He had 4 and said they were going so quick that maybe he priced them too low .

Hi, This is awesome deal... I am new to unidays.
1. Do I have to have edu email id?
2. Which link to click to get this deal.?
3. Is this also applicable for US students?

When I tried that, it changed the price to the non-Unidays one and took 10% off that price rather than off the Unidays price Frown
