waterpiks do NOT replace regular flossing but they blast food debris out of spots you can't get with brushing or flossing. examples are people with braces and people with crowns where a large deep space can go into the gums.

U still need to floss, but you will be surprised at what falls out of your mouth even after floss n brushing.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I bought this awhile ago. I love it!! I feel like I just got finished at the dentist office afterwards. (Not trying to sounds like a cheesy TV commercial) LOL 😂

I would stay away from this one.
They use crappy materials for the hose to the handle, so that you have to replace it every 1-2 years (depending how regularly you floss).
this has a much more expensive handle ...

(For idiots, THIS obviously refers to the more expensive WP 66x versions)

I got the older model and that one the handle gave way due to the spring, I would say this wouldn't give you that issue. Plus there is a three year warranty that I used with the older model and this one will be covered as well. This is worth the price for the handle.

Aside from the more modern-looking design, is there any benefit to buying this newer model? Particularly, is it any quieter than the previous model? That's my only gripe with the Waterpik.

I'm confused as to which one the word "this" in your last sentence refers

I bought Costco model wp-150 with extra mini waterpik for 60 bucks. mainly buy this to clean under the bridge. First try seems like hit and miss. Water splash everywhere. It's hard to see and point the spray to the right place. So I just go around the mouth and randomly spray. I'll evaluate again in a week to see the effectiveness.
