Great deal. With the current MintSim BOGO 3 month promo, 6 month service is for $63.45. If you buy 2 of the Blu Jenny T276T, total is $27.49 x 2 = $54.98 (WA State tax..). Assume the 2 phones you can sell them for $10 each (Amazon has them for $19.99), net could be $34.98 for 6 months of service. $5.83 per month for 5 gig of data

I don't think you'd be able to port your Mint number to a different Mint SIM. Maybe port to TextNow or h2o and then port back to Mint?

Best way is to pay $20 to port your permanent # to google voice. Then you can activate as many discounted SIMs as possible without every porting your number - been doing this for the past 10 years now including my landline (VOIP with Obi/Google Voice). Helps snag deals without the hassle of porting numbers all the time.

You can buy multiple of these SIMs and activate a new one every time - no porting hassle and a cheap phone service with 5 gb!

Google Voice is a great alternative. But if you're an iOS/iMessage user, it's not be best solution unless you don't mind using your iCloud handle as your primary username. Do you know if I have to activate the Mint SIM by a certain date? I'm interested in getting some for LTE tablets.

Yeah - I am an android user- don't have issues like these Smilie I believe it is 45 days activation but on another mintsim thread people have said they have had no issues activating it as late as 6 months. I am going to buy a few - worst case scenario I can dispute with my Amex if it does not work / use return protection with Amex.

That sounds good. Which phone are you going to get? BLU Jenny TV 2.8 T276T? I'd rather get a device that can install Spotify and Mobdro though.

OP. update the title. It is not really free. It requires a purchase of a unlocked Phone.
