Yes , this is a plug-in model rated at 50W which is moderate heat.. As described this would not reliably "cook" food but is intended for warming already-cooked food.

It is confusing because there was also a similar product I saw at Target that was just an insulated thermos and the idea was that you put hot food in it in the morning and it would keep it warm by lunchtime. That unit did NOT plug in and was just like a "Thermos." So I wasn't sure when I first saw this item but the descriptions convince me it's an actual heated pot.

I think I will pick some up and keep one for the camper, one for the kitchen, and one to sit around in my house still in the box along with all the other SlickDeals that the UPS and FedEx guys keep delivering....

based off the video review you simply load your meal and plug it in.. within one hour it will be 166 degrees ready to eat instead of having to get up off your desk and head to the microwave while at work ideally

Dumb question, but how does this work? It says it's a warmer, but does it warm things up, or just keep them warm? Is this basically a thermos?
