VERY much better IMO but its hard to compare a tablet to a computer. If you want a tablet and do not need a laptop then perhaps your tablet is better. Though their tablet has gotten some bad reviews its pretty decent from what I can tell.

Huawei Matebook D is an actual laptop and its going for $500 right now in a few places. It did get some bad reviews BUT this was when the reviewers thought it was a $800-1000 machine.

Also this Huawei's first venture into tablets and laptops, for a 1st go I would say they kick major ass.

Before I posted this deal, I bought the i5 version of this laptop. So far after about two days, I love it.

My thoughts on it:

The Pros:
Zero fans on these laptops and zero coil whine! They are completely silent. Solid screen with a perfect 3:2 aspect ratio and gets very bright. It really feels bigger than the dell XPS 13 it's replacing. So thin and light. That's what you are really paying for. For me, that's what makes it so attractive (and the thin bezels). It feels so solid, made of all metal and glass. The trackpad is great after I turned the sensitivity all the way up and fixed the aggressive palm rejection with a simple registry value change. There is a slight gap at the bottom of the trackpad that clicks when you tap it, but it's a non-issue for me. The fingerprint sensor is great. It works every time and keeps the fingerprint in memory from boot, so you don't have to press it again. The sound is so much better than a XPS. You have to hear it.

The Cons:
Really, the only con I have is the battery life. I just got done with the windows 10 creators update, that took forever, so my numbers aren't stable yet. I'm getting about 6.5 hours so far. I just undervolted the CPU with Intel's Extreme Tuning Utility, so my numbers should get a bit better. The 8GB of ram is perfectly fine for everything I do, but I do wish I had the option to upgrade it to 16GB.

Let me know if you have any questions. nod
