My data is anecdotal, but I have this exact drive and have been using it as my Mac Mini's boot drive since early 2016. This drive has been absolutely fantastic, stone-cold reliable the entire time. If I was in the market for another 1TB at the same price point as I picked it up (about $50 less than here), I'd not hesitate. The controller is a wee bit dated, but it's still fast enough to saturate the SATA3 bus.

I don't know what people's problem is with Mushkin, but this SSD has been nothing but fantastic. My guess is there's a bunch of people who have been brought up to think Samsung = the shit, everything else = sucks, and so they shitpost on these threads because it's not their favorite brand.

I have this exact drive in my Mac Mini, picked it up from Jet in Jan 2016. It's been running like a champ since then - Blackmagic is reporting speeds within 5MB/s of the new out-of-box speeds.

I've been using the same exact drive in my machine as my boot drive for more than a year now. No issues so far.

Mushkin used to be awesome, did something change?

2 1/2 year old review says it's very good.

That's kind of what I was asking...I know they used to be highly regarded in memory, but from what I'm hearing on here, people act like they don't trust them...btw...4.5 out of nearly 300 reviews...

They make good RAM and the reviews on the reactor SSDs are pretty good. There were failures back in the intel SandForce controller days, but that wiped out a bunch of manufacturers.

I actually just bought this since the 10% ebay bucks promo is still going (ends tonight) and I dont get taxed from newegg purchases to TX

I still have a new 750gb crucial mx300 from last year's $100 BF deal that I can sell for about the price of this Mushkin MLC 1TB.

Hopefully I'll get BH5 chips Cool

Been using two mushkin 256 SSD for about 5 years and it still runs like a champ. Would have no issue purchasing another.
