Nice price but there's no way I'll spend this much on a 6th gen i7.

You need to buy Applecare+ before 60 days; for applecare, you can buy it before 12 months.

Agree..specially since the 8th Gen processors are out there. The best deal was for $1599 a couple of days. That is the most I will pay for this.

Sorry weaksauce, adorama had a sweet 2.9ghz 4gbvram at same price.
I love apple but just too many negative factors for this model at this price.
2gbvramfor 2017 eh.
You can get an even better base model deal at full price on apple for current models.

Why is this $100 more than the $1800 space gray.

This is not the same as the $1600 one from BF. This is the 512GB model with the incremental upgrade to the cpu and gpu. Good deal (relative to MacBooks) if you want more storage

For those who says the 1599 deal is better you have to ponder why it is at that price for something better than this. It is the 256gb storage. No oone is willing to buy it at retial or even a discounted price. Hence the large discount for BF. If the new macbooks are hardrive upgradable I would buy that in a heart beat. The limited space really hinder the usefulness of the large MacBook pros. This 512gb, while still limiting for a 2017, IMO, is a good compromise.

Sorry to interrupt though, not no one but many people are willing to buy the $300 lower cost and 256gb lower storage. Even if this cost gap is nothing for you, the $300 can upgrade my laptop m2.2280 1TB, which is 4times more. Also, this value is same as 8th i7 processor...
