Calling on all seasoned slickdealers for some advice / informed opinions as I'm not nearly on top of my spec game as I once was.

I picked up the similar model at my local Costco on the last day of the promotion yesterday (https://urlhasbeenblocked/rz4a82), but I'm not 100% certain that this is the best bang for the buck. As the deal stated, it was $700.

This deal, from Best Buy, is offering what appears to be the newer body model (thinner bezel than the one at Costco) with 12GB of RAM (albeit it's DDR3L vs 8GB DDR4 at Costco), 1 TB HDD (vs the 256GB SSD at Costco) with an 8th gen i5-8250U (vs the i7-8550U at Costco) for $650.

(Also, if I'm not mistaken, the Costco one may not be pen compatible whereas it looks like the Best Buy one is.)

I believe the Best Buy model should have an M.2 slot, too (difficult to confirm for sure), which means for around $100 (give or take) I could install a 250 GB NVMe SSD module myself, giving me the best of both worlds in terms of storage (SSD for the OS, programs, etc. and a lot of storage on the 1TB HDD) and brings the total cost to around $750 ($50 more than Costco).

Which do you think is a better value? I'm having a hard time weighing the pros and cons. I prefer the thinner bezel and I think more RAM is helpful especially given the integrated graphics, but I also really wanted the SSD. I just think the overall HD capacity of the Costco model leaves something to be desired.

I'm not at all sure why this post has a -1 deal score and zero commentary, but maybe everyone is just burnt out from shopping for deals the past few days.
I'd really appreciate any feedback offered. Thanks!
