Just bought the XPS 13 from Costco this weekend, and still want to pull the trigger on this. Not sure if I want to carry the extra 1.5 pounds for the screen. Don't really need the extra graphics card and horsepower for my mobile use.

I disagree, but maybe some of the recent gamer laptop deals scored by SDers recently have spoiled me. This price or better with the 32GB memory would have gotten my attention. Even then, though....

Costco deal also had 1TB SSD. You'd be hard pressed to upgrade to 32gb RAM and 1TB hard drive for under $300. Still, I went for the Costco deal and now debating if I should return it and get this one and upgrade specs later when components are cheaper.

It seems like a decent price. Ive decided on this one for work(audio video editing) and i cant find much better with full spectrum Colors, lightweight, Dedicated graphics.
and a huge plus is you can charge it from an external power supply.
If anyone has a better travel Editing Laptop, please chime in.

edit: HP spectre 360 seems like a viable option

The screen on the xps is much better than spectre. That said i bought the spectre because of the price difference..

Keep in mind that you get 4 yr warranty if you paid with costco credit card. You definitely don't get that with this one.

Is there any similar deal for the hp spectre x360 15''? Is it 4k screen too? Could you please post a link for the better priced one that you bought. I am trying to decide between this and the x360.

Saw a reference to the HP Spectre Deal. Is this the one you were referring to? Looks like it was BF pricing. It now shows $1599.
